The name "SAKURA" derives from our company president, "Manabu Ito's" ancestor, Ito Ihei, who lived in Somei Village (now Komagome, Toshima Ward, Tokyo) during the Edo period and was the developer of the Somei Yoshino cherry blossom variety.
We have opened SAKURA with the aim of offering authentic Japanese culture to tourists in Kyoto, a city renowned for its tourism. Our goal is not only to provide surface-level exposure to Japanese culture but also to offer all individuals, regardless of nationality, gender, age, or experience, the opportunity to enjoy delightful memories and happy moments through experiences.
Here, we would like to introduce the history surrounding the Ito family, which is also part of the philosophy of our company's Japanese cultural classes.

In the summer of 2018, marking the 8th year since the opening of the Roxcy Music School in Kyoto, we decided to open the "Sakura Japanese Cultural Experience Classroom" within the same building.
Over the past few years, the number of foreign students attending our music school has increased significantly, with many expressing a desire to play Japanese songs.
Therefore, we made the decision to open the classroom not only to teach music but also to introduce various aspects of Japanese culture.
